Thumbraisers Reach New Heights for SuperJosh
AS I write this watching the pouring rain, it’s hard to believe what an amazing weekend of beautiful sunshine we’ve just had.
Three of our amazing team were definitely grateful for it as they took to the skies to take on a 14,000 ft tandem skydive to raise money for Josh’s charity above the stunning Lake District.
Adam said: “It’s something that’s been on my bucket list for a while, but I never got round to working up the courage till now. Thinking of the money raised, and the help this can provide to the families that SuperJosh support is what pushed me over the edge, literally.”
All of our jumpers said it was an amazing experience, and the team at Skydive North West went above and beyond in putting them at ease.
If you want to join our next group of daredevils we still have some places available for our August jump.

We also owe a massive thank you to Lee Talbot, who cycled from Manchester to Blackpool this weekend to raise money for us.
It was a very last-minute event — he didn’t know he was doing it till a week before, but already he’s raised more than £200, which is brilliant. However, what’s really amazing is that two years ago, Lee suffered a broken back as a result of a rugby injury. You’re unstoppable, thank you so much!
Thanks to the staggering amount raised at Parklife, we are smashing through our waiting list helping families, and are proud to have been able to help nine-year-old Josh with an electronic drum set — and headphones!
A huge music lover, Josh, who has a brain tumour, is learning to release stress and frustration, and drumming is a huge way of helping with this.
Josh’s mum, Lisa, told us: “SuperJosh, you have made our Joshy’s year. He is music crazy and now has an outlet to help with his emotions. We really can’t thank you enough, it doesn’t seem enough thank you. Xx”
As part of our ongoing celebrations and fundraising we have our annual Ladies Lunch tomorrow at The Village Hotel. We are really looking forward to this event, which has a Madhatters Tea Party theme.
On Sunday, July 23, The Village Hotel is also hosting our summer car boot sale. Car pitches are £10 each, with vans at £15. Set up is from a sociable 8am, with the sale running from 9am to 1pm. This is a great venue as there will be toilets on site, as well as access to coffee and other refreshments.
If you would like to secure your pitch you can do so via our online shop
