The Pride of Bury Awards 2020 #SuperJosh – Calls for Bury Corona Heroes
The annual Pride of Bury Awards are calling for nominations of local Bury based Corona Heroes alongside their existing call for all Bury local heroes to be recognised.
Launched in 2015, in memory of Joshua Wilson aka SuperJosh, local heroes of all ages are celebrated each year at The Pride of Bury Awards.
The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity, Josh’s Mum Dawn and the team of volunteers mark the awards as one of their proudest achievements, with the help of the Award’s generous sponsors, the annual event recognises and celebrates some truly special people every year.
Dawn Fidler, Founder of SuperJosh Charity and The Pride of Bury Awards explains: “We are all going through really challenging times. However, these tough times are bringing out the very best in our local communities. So many ‘ordinary’ people are doing extraordinary things to help their neighbours, support the NHS and help save lives.
We want to widen our search for local heroes for the 2020 Awards to celebrate all the Bury Corona Heroes out there – and we know there are thousands! What better way to show your appreciation for their hard work and sacrifice – nominate them for a Pride of Bury Award!
We want to see nominations for ALL local heroes, we are proud that our Awards are totally inclusive and nominated and voted for by the public and each year the Awards get greater recognition.”
The awards cover 14 categories and nominations are open until mid-August.
Winners and runners up are invited to join us to celebrate at the Awards Ceremony in October.
