Pride of Bury Awards 2020 – Final List of Nominees Announced
The final list for the The Pride of Bury Awards 2020 has now been announced.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the 2020 awards – which would usually take place in October 2020, have been postponed until Summer 2021. Due to this postponement in the awards ceremony, the Pride of Bury Team decided to leave the nomination lines open until the end of 2020 – allowing even more special local heroes to be nominated for their community spirit.
Since opening the 2020 awards in January 2020, the following people have been nominated and we would like to recognise and congratulate them all!

The Awards Ceremony
The Pride of Bury Team are working hard behind the scenes to organise a slightly different, but none the less special event at which all winners and finalists will receive the recognition they deserve. We hope to be able to tell you more about this in Spring/Summer this year. Any such recognition will adhere to strict government COVID-19 guidelines.
Judging
Judging takes place by a panel of independent judges from across the UK (none are based in Bury). The judges give scores to these nominations and from that we are able to ascertain the winners and finalists for each category.
Background
Since starting in 2014, in memory of my Josh (AKA SuperJosh) local heroes of all ages are celebrated at these annual awards.
The awards are split into 14 categories and are the culmination of months of nominations and votes by local people.
The Pride of Bury Awards are one of the SuperJosh Team’s proudest achievements.
