Easter eggs, face painting and pampering
It’s been a bit of a confusing week so far, what with the extended weekend and the clocks going forward. I hope you all had a fantastic Easter, and enjoyed having some extra time off. It was always one of Josh’s favourite times of year; he loved looking after the baby chicks at school and, as you’d expect, was never short of chocolate and eggs!
Last Thursday we had a busy and very rewarding day working with families at RMCH providing access to counselling and financial support. We then had lots of fun playing the Easter Bunny, delivering 90 Easter Eggs and a Craft and Play Package to Ward 84 which is the Oncology Ward.
Knowing first-hand how much ‘holiday envy’ you get stuck on the wards with your baby when the holidays happen, it’s so important to me to be able to try and brighten the moment and create family fun times. This is such a vital part of healing and we know how much it means to the children, their families and the teams looking after them.
This donation was only possible thanks to the amazing ongoing support from our patron Sacha Lord-Marchionne and everyone at The Warehouse Project and Parklife.
Although Easter may be over, half term isn’t so this Saturday the SuperJosh team will be at The Rock offering face painting and a variety of arts and crafts. Please pop down to see us if you get the chance.
On 12th April a ladies pamper night will be held in The Clarence by Rebecca Simpson. Tickets are available via our website and are only £7 each. This includes a SuperJosh cocktail on arrival!
