All the people, so many people, they all donated to SuperJosh at, Parklife
Team SuperJosh raised a staggering £9,936 on their promotional stand at Parklife this weekend.
Parklife 2015, took place at Heaton Park on Saturday and Sunday, the brain-child of The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity Patron, Sacha Lord-Marchionne.
Dawn Fidler and a dedicated team of Thumbraisers were invited to be a part of the Festival all weekend, raising awareness of the charity, collecting money and selling merchandise.
Sacha supports The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity through a number of his projects and this was the second time Team SuperJosh have been involved in Parklife.
The SuperJosh stand was over-run all weekend, and the £9,936 raised was just from donations and merchandise sales – the team sold out of Hoodies and even had to sell the ones from their own backs!
Dawn Fidler, Mum and Founder of the Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity, said “We had a totally amazing weekend and made lots of new friends. I can’t get over how much we raised for Josh’s Charity.”
“Thank you to everyone who came over, said hello, donated, and helped us spread the SuperJosh word. Thank you to Josh’s Salford Red Devil Rugby friends who came along to support our team on the Sunday, and a massive thank you to all our Thumbraisers for their time and their support over the weekend!”
“But final thanks must go to our Patron, Sacha Lord-Marchionne, for involving us, for supporting us and letting us be part of this wonderful weekend”
In addition to the money raised at the stand, The Parklife bar staff all offered to donate their tips from the weekend to Josh’s charity, Graffiti Artist Russell Meehan came and created a street art which is also helping raise even more money, and the donation from the ticket sales, very generously offered by Parklife, have all yet to be counted and added in. This total will be updated very soon.
