Cake Selfie for Josh’s 16th Birthday
August is well underway and the sun is thinking of making another appearance before the kids go back to school. That means two things: firstly, we are in the middle of Josh’s Birthday week where he would have turned 16 on Wednesday, 10th August. Secondly, it’s a good excuse for a picnic in the park!
On Sunday, 14th August we will be holding a bring your own picnic in Heaton Park. If you part at the St Margaret’s Road entrance you will see us, and our gazebos, at the top near the car park. Everyone is welcome to join us, just bring some food, blankets and most importantly some cake and let’s have some fun!
Last week Ray Porter from Fusion Foster Care hosted the annual John Porter Memorial Golf Day and raised an amazing £1,500. This is always a very enjoyable day, and this year was no exception. Thanks as always to Ray for his support and the effort involved, and to everyone who took part.
I’d also like to say a massive well done and thank you to the team at Insight in Manchester who completed the Tough Mudder course last week. I know how hard these courses are and you absolutely smashed it, raising over £1,000. Thanks for giving up your time and thanks also to everyone who supported them and donated.
To celebrate Josh’s Birthday we are asking people to grab some cake and take a selfie, using the #SuperJosh. Share them with us on social media, and go have yourselves some fun!
