On Wednesday the brand new Curry’s PC World opened on Woodfield Retail Park in Bury and it’s a total transformation! Store Manager Andy Cayghill and his team have worked so hard getting it ready and it has definitely paid off.
As the store’s chosen charity we were thrilled to join The Mayor, Mike Connolly & Consort Ian Hargreaves, for the opening. A huge thank you to Andy for all the support and kind donation of a TV and some very special headphones.
It seemed fitting that Mike and Ian’s last engagement was to mark the beginning of something new in Bury. Again, thank you for choosing Josh’s Charity as one of your three to support over the last 12 months, you have been amazing and have left a legacy of your own behind you.
On 21st May Phill Smith will be taking part in the Chester half marathon, and is raising funds in memory of Joshua McCormack.Phill was inspired by Josh’s story, and his battle and is determined to raise as much as possible to honour this very special little boy by helping us raise more money to keep helping those who need our support.
We just wanted to say a huge thank you to Tia (aged XX) who will be swimming 100 lengths (2,500m) on 24th May to raise funds for her friend, Ava. As a charity we are currently supporting Ava and her family as she undergoes treatment for her tumour.
I am always so humbled when children raise money for charity, and this it’s amazing how inspired Tia has become since striking up a friendship with Ava, who she has been visiting during her treatment. She has already raised £412, which is amazing. If you would like to show your support, you can donate directly to her page here.
On 25th May brothers Andy and Neil Bebbington take on a mammoth challenge cycling from Tower Bridge all the way to Paris (via a ferry, of course). They hope to crack their adventure in just three days, and have already raised just over £500 on their Virgin Giving page. All donations raised will be coming straight to Josh’s charity to help us continue to provide support to children and their families. Thank you so much, and good luck guys. We can’t wait to hear all about it!

All the money you help us raise, no matter how you do it, or how much it is, goes to helping our amazing children and their families. In the last week we have provided support to families at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and Christies, offering counselling sessions, and also starting work on house adaptations and garden makeovers. Thank you, always, to everyone!
