Thames Path 100km Challenge in Aid of #SuperJosh Special Families

This September Mark Turnbull, long time supporter and #SuperJosh Charity Champion, will be setting off on an EPIC 100km journey on foot along the Thames Path!

All to raise money for local families who are suffering with childhood brain tumours and post surgery disabilities.

Here is his story:

I was fortunate enough back in 2013 to meet a young man named Joshua Wilson (SuperJosh). Josh was incredible. After developing a Brain Tumour at the age of 3 he never let this or the difficulties that surgery left him with stop him from achieving his goals. He and his mum Dawn set up the Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity to help other families going through a similar experience. The help they give is both practical and emotional, it is flexible to what ever a family needs. Josh passed away in 2014 but his amazing legacy continues.

This September I am taking on the Thames Path Challenge for Josh’s charity. It is a 100km walk along England’s most iconic river from Putney past Hampton Court through to Henley. The walk will not only be testing on distance but also walking through the night at times. I hope I can succeed and raise much need money for this fantastic cause.

We are so very proud of Mark and all that we know he will achieve – good luck Mark, from everyone at Team #SuperJosh X
