SuperJosh News: Issue No. 15

Hello and welcome to the latest issue of the SuperJosh news. The last week has been lots of fun with birthday celebrations and general party-related goodness.  Hope you’ve had a good week too!

Thank you…

A huge thank you to Claire Wallwork and her lovely family who made these wonderful SuperJosh sweetie jar gifts for us to sell!  They have proven to be VERY popular!

John Porter Memorial Golf Day

On Friday 14th August Dawn attended the 5th John Porter Memorial golf day at Bury Golf Club which was supporting our charity again this year.

Ray Porter, who organised the event said “”Big thank you to Bury Golf Club for hosting the 5th annual John Porter Memorial Golf Day and all those who played and supported the day and helped raised over £1,100 for Joshs Charity, who we will be supporting again next year”

Dawn said that she was thrilled to be part of an amazing day again and wanted to thank everyone who took part and donated.  It was an emotional day as last year Josh had enjoyed meeting all the teams, but it was great to be back and she is already looking forward to next year’s event. Fingers crossed the weather holds next year!

The Birthday Bashes

Thank you to everyone who attended our party at The Village on Friday night to officially celebrate two years of the charity.  We had a great time!

Huge thank you to Dirty Little Secret who entertained us, Clairys Fairys Funny Faces who did a fab job of making us all look a little better and of course the Village for their hospitality and fantastic food.

And then on Sunday we had our SuperJosh Super Hero party, also at the Village.

As always it was a great party, and the sun even shone for us! Special thanks to The Village who donated the BBQ, the Greater Manchester Rock Choir, DJ Chris, Claire (who was a huge hit with her face painting again) and our friends from the Lancashire Spinners.

Well done to the winners of our fancy dress parade and a huge thanks to everyone who came down to party and support us.  A massive thumbs up for our Thumbraisers who continue to be with us every step of the way.

And a special shout out to this lot – our supporters Lu and Adam (and their little munchkins) who celebrated their 7th wedding anniversary with us on Sunday. Congratulations guys!  We’re still trying to work out how to get Alf to smile for the camera, bless him.
